Voters’ View on Charter Change (1999)

Conducted between 1999-2000, the study aimed to gather the peoples’ position on the charter change issue, views regarding the mode of change, the substantive amendments or revision, the timing of the constitutional change and their role in the process. Nationwide survey, focus group discussions (FGDs) and consultation activities were conducted during a five-month period.

The study now addresses the questions of relevancy of constitutional reform
from the people’s perspectives.

The Institute also participated in the seminars and fora and served as resource institution for various consultations and discussions on the constitutional change issue.
