ABOUT BANTAY ELEKSYON 2007

The People’s Coalition to Monitor the 2007 Elections or BANTAY-ELEKSYON 2007 is an initiative of various electoral reform advocates as part of the resolutions agreed upon in the CER National Assembly in 2006 and recognized in the National Stakeholders Summit on the 2007 Election held on January 12-13, 2007. The purpose of this monitoring project is to foster fair, free, and credible elections through the monitoring of the 2007 national and local elections and the performance of the Commission on Elections.

The Consortium on Electoral Reforms (CER), created a Task Force from its member-organizations and other partner organizations which will undertake the monitoring project.
