CAMPAIGN FINANCE MONITORING
Pera At Pulitika (Money and Politics) Working Group
(PAP-WG)
Composed of Access to Information Network (ATIN),
Consortium on Electoral Reforms (CER), Lawyers' League
for Liberty (LIBERTAS),
Philippine Political Science
Association (PPSA), and
Transparency and Accountability
Network (TAN), PAP-WG launched a pilot run of campaign
spending monitoring project for the May 2007 Philippine
elections (congressional and mayoral) in three areas:
Distrcit II, Quezon City, Pasig City, and
Navotas-Malabon District.
The project aims to generate data on campaign spending
as part of elections monitoring, and to prepare for a
larger monitoring initiative on campaign spending in the
2010 elections.
