The People’s COalition to Monitor
the 2007 ELECtions or BANTAY ELEKSYON ’07
will hold a media briefing on March 26, 2007, Monday
around 10 am at the Alex Grills along Matalino St., Brgy.
Central, Quezon City. The briefing will provide the
media with the monitoring coalition’s general
observations on the conduct of the May polls from
national campaign preparation last year up to the start
of the local campaign next week.
Task Force BantayEleksyon '07 is a coalition of
electoral stakeholders formed by the Consortium on
Electoral Reforms (CER), composed of 45 national
electoral reform organizations. It aims to conduct a
comprehensive monitoring of the general conduct and
processes of the May 2007 midterm elections which will
center on evaluating the performance of the Commission
on elections and its deputized agencies. It will release
weekly monitoring reports, a preliminary report a day
after the elections and the final comprehensive report
one month after.
